DO I NEED A VESSEL LICENSE?
No! You do not need a vessel license, just a valid driver's license. No test is required to drive; your rental agreement will act as your vessel license for the day.
How old do I have to be?
You must be 21 years of age to rent and sign any rental paperwork. You can be 16 years of age to drive a rental vessel. Everyone must bring a hard copy of your valid driver's license and renter must bring a hard copy of a credit card. We can not accept pictures of ID's or virtual wallets per marine police.
WHERE CAN WE GO?
All rental vessels are allowed any where in the bay area within our perimeters. Which include: The Theo Barrs Bridge in Perdido (so no Johnsons Beach or Blue Angels), The Wharf Bridge, The Lillian Bridge in Perdido Bay. NO RENTAL VESSELS ARE ALLOWED IN THE GULF! There is a $200 fine for going outside of our perimeters.
IS THERE A RADIO ON THE BOAT?
All our cruiser pontoons, Tri-Toons and Century runabout have radios.We do our best to keep all radios in great working condition, however if one is down on the day of your rental we will make arrangements to please you the best we can but do not offer any type of refund for that. The rest of the boats do not have radios so we recommend bringing a bluetooth speaker for your tunes on the TOON!
Can we fish on the boats?
Fishing is allowed on all our vessels except for the Tri-Toon boats. We do ask you be careful of the seat upholstery, which will be inspected upon return of rental for any tears. If you choose to fish on the vessel, a cleaning fee of $25 will be applied.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed on all our vessels except for the Tri-Toon boats. Like fishing, we do ask you be careful of the seat upholstery, which will be inspected upon return of rental for any tears.
Do we pay for gas and tax?
Gas is included on the jet skis, but for all boat rentals you are responsible for gas. All rentals at the marina location you will be topped off with gas upon return and pay for what you burn. Rentals at the Bear Point location have a set fuel charge. We are the ONLY rental company that does not charge tax on top of our list price. The price you see is the price you pay, and its the cheapest!
Can we pull tubes/skis/etc behind any rentals?
NONE of our vessels are allowed to pull anything behind them per City ordinance as well as insurance purposes.
If we are late, does our return time change?
We require you arrive 30 minutes early to your departure time to complete all necessary paperwork and safety checklists so that we can get you out on time. If you arrive any later than that, your return time does not change and you will be cutting into your set rental time.
How many people can go on the boat?
The capacity ranges depending on the boat. However our largest boat holds a maximum of 12 people due to Coast Guard regulation for all rental vessels. This is implemented by heartbeats, so not how many children or size of individuals.
What happens if it rains?
There is a $100 non refundable deposit associated with the reservation of each vessel, even in the case of bad weather. On days of very inclement weather (i.e. heavy rain or lightning) we waive the 24 hour cancellation process, and the non-refundable deposits will stay on file in store for up to a year. However on days of small rain percentages or light rain, the rentals will still go out and the cancellation process will be handle on a case by case basis depending upon the availability of rentals that day.
Can I use a coupon on the day of my rental if I have previously booked online and paid in full?
Each coupon we offer features a promo or voucher to apply in the process of online booking. If you are having a hard time redeeming that coupon, please call us before finishing your booking so that we can assist. Due to our online booking company handling all payments for those, we are unable to apply coupons after the fact on the day of rental.
